How can YOU help DSSG-ATL?

1) Become a community mentor for DSSG-ATL
While the projects have extremely smart students and faculty advisors working on them, working on real-world, messy problems like this has its own unique challenges. Do you have particular experience in a technical skill e.g. statistical analysis, data visualization or software engineering? Are you a kickass project manager? Are you particularly good at navigating between non-technical clients and technical teams? Can you help engineers create jaw-dropping presentations and tell fascinating stories with data? We’d love for you to give us some of your time!

2) Save the date for the final student presentations
Our students will present the results of their work at a Data Science ATL meetup event on July 17th at the Atlanta Tech Village. Show up and prepare to be amazed!

3) Spread the word

The more people know about this amazing effort, the more likely it is that we can do this in an even bigger way next year, solving many more problems faced by civic organizations and non-profits that do not themselves have the resources to attack complex data challenges. So please forward the info in this email to your network. Atlanta has many awesome efforts going on, but we are not always connected very well to each other. Let’s change that and make awesome things happen!
